The year 2020Hello there, 2020 has already been a very memorable year. While we were preparing for #3 baby, the world was changing dramatically on a daily basis. I can say I don’t think we could have had Claire at a better time. In mid-February, we came home with our new babe and got tucked into our new routine. Then, within two weeks we were surprised daily with the announcements of shut-downs, stay-at-home orders, work from home and home schooling protocols. I don’t think our experience is unique, we experienced some anxiety but also some joy throughout this season.
The quarantine time together was actually really wonderful for our little family of 5, but I know we were insulated from the true horror that others were facing in more metro areas and families directly affected by the pandemic. That being said, I had planned on getting back to work about mid-April, back to taking senior portraits, back to summer sunset sessions with families and back to small business marketing for my customers. That was the plan or at least that’s what I thought. Honestly, I was ok with a little more time for baby snuggles. When I did return to the office, it was clear: 2020 is going to look and feel different and may never be the same as before. But a few things remained:
