Just watched a webinar from another photographer and she made a great point...All those photos of families in jeans and white shirts. By default, our eyes look for contrast so those photos we are drawn right to people's mid-sections...really not what we want -right? When people ask me what they should wear, I fumble with what to say. If I'm like most women, I have a closet full of clothes but 'nothing to wear' but that being said, I feel that you should pick something you feel beautiful and comfortable in. I'm recommending that you start with what Mom is going to wear, once that's decided then the color palette is then set and you can fill in the other family members from there. Let's be honest, Dad doesn't mind and the kids will wear what you put on them (unless they are teens...I haven't gotten to that stage yet in my family) will update post at a later date on that note. I like when families compliment each other's outfits but not completely match...but that's just me.
