While I truly enjoyed my role as family and senior portrait photographer and getting to know you, my clients, I have decided to prioritize regular business hours to help balance workload and family responsibilities.
Therefore, I am not currently booking portrait sessions. However, if you or someone you know is in need of small business marketing services, such as graphic design, web solutions, video, and business photography, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your past patronage, and we look forward to working with you soon!
Best regards,
Jill Steward

This lovely family gathered at grandma's new lake home and had enough forethought to plan for some photos to be taken! It was a surprise to grandma because the whole family was able to come, even the newest addition, a sweet little great-granddaughter from Oregon!
And the finished product: a wonderful memory of family displayed in the form of the JPEG Studio's Jenny Collection, a 9 piece arrangement of hand crafted mat and framed prints.
Just give me a call and we'll get started!

2020 has already been a very memorable year. While we were preparing for #3 baby, the world was changing dramatically on a daily basis. I can say I don’t think we could have had Claire at a better time. In mid-February, we came home with our new babe and got tucked into our new routine. Then, within two weeks we were surprised daily with the announcements of shut-downs, stay-at-home orders, work from home and home schooling protocols. I don’t think our experience is unique, we experienced some anxiety but also some joy throughout this season.
The quarantine time together was actually really wonderful for our little family of 5, but I know we were insulated from the true horror that others were facing in more metro areas and families directly affected by the pandemic. That being said, I had planned on getting back to work about mid-April, back to taking senior portraits, back to summer sunset sessions with families and back to small business marketing for my customers. That was the plan or at least that’s what I thought.
Honestly, I was ok with a little more time for baby snuggles. When I did return to the office, it was clear: 2020 is going to look and feel different and may never be the same as before. But a few things remained:
Even if it’s a little different than expected.
So here’s your invitation and inspiration to take advantage of the time we have together.
Because…
Thanks for reading!
Sending well wishes for health and happiness for the rest of 2020,

]]>If you know Jenny, you know she is stylish, practical and classic. Our project discussions evolved into preparing an outdoor picnic scene featuring Kinsley, her daughter. I wanted the look and feel of this canvas wall art to be familiar enough to go on anyone’s wall but with that sentimental and personal attachment you get when it’s about you, your family, and your history.
We got that!
The windmill is a nod to Jenny growing up on the farm, Jenny mentioned how her mom would have loved a picnic under a grand tree and of course, her daughter, Kinsley, laying out the spread and ready to eat some fresh homegrown watermelon! I wouldn’t say Jenny is outdoorsy but she sees and values the beauty in all God’s masterpieces and wanted that to be evident here.
This will be a family heirloom. I’m grateful to help Jenny see her vision through. I hope it brings a smile to her face for years to come.
Do you have a vision for your Custom Wall Art Piece? Let's talk!

]]>For me, it's important to understand the vision for the brand and the characteristics the business possesses when choosing how a company will be represented visually. My creative approach is to think like you first. I ask lots of questions. Then I’ll dissect and translate that to a brand or logo that will convey just what you want the world to know with impact.
Good design and photography go a long way in representing your company! If you need logo design, marketing planning, branding development - I'd love to be your resource!

Your treasures, your little loves or (not so little) loves anymore and of course Jill from the JPEG Studio behind the camera!
My signature product – The 18 Summers Wall Collage! Answering the question of what to do with your images – now you have a plan! What a relief!
After we meet before the session – we’ll have picked the ideal place together. Whether it’s a creek bed with cute little coke bottles or a Balloon Pop Birthday Party in the Studio – I love to create – Let’s get planning!
Summers are great times for this session – kids are out of school, focused on being a kid again with a more laid back schedule we can really get creative and personal.
But Fall is so beautiful too, I can see playing in the leaves, bonfires, s’mores, pumpkin patches and jackets (I love jacket weather!)
Winter can be beautiful too – Let’s look at the weather forecast and plan a snowball fight! Or it’s a great season to do a session in Studio.
Spring – Everyone loves spring, vibrant colors, spirits reawakened
Ok ANYTIME is a great time but don’t let another year go by
Because we only have 18 summers – gotta make ‘em count!

]]>The Pre-Consult: Let's plan your session time and go over products and pricing in full detail!
The Shoot: Location or Studio - or both plus your choice of some awesome add-ons like: Add a Sibling, Add a BFF, Add a Videographer, Add a Pet, Add a Stylist, or Add a Meal (The guys love this one).
Unlimited outfits: For most Seniors that means 5-7 outfits. Please bring more than that to give us options, plus any special items you may want to feature in your images.
Unlimited inside/outside backgrounds which usually translates to about 10-12 different settings. I like start in the later-afternoon in the studio then we use about half out time outside to get those setting sun, golden light photos.
The fun part: Design your own custom collection which includes a wall portrait, album, gift prints and wallets. I ask all decision makers to participate!
Thanks for thinking of me for your Senior photos – It’s Senior Season! Hooray!

Stop this train
I wanna get off and go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
but, honestly, won't someone stop this train?
So scared of getting older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game to find a way to say that life has just begun
Had a talk with my old man
Said, "Help me understand."
He said, "Turn 68,
you'll renegotiate
Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
Don't think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
John, honestly, we'll never stop this train."
Once in a while when it's good
It'll feel like it should
And they're all still around
And you're still safe and sound
And you don't miss a thing
'Til you cry when you're driving away in the dark.
Singing, "Stop this train" Thanks John Mayer
Now that baby is finally here you want photos! Let me walk you through some options, tips and reasons why to choose the JPEG Studio!
Finally, just remember to stop, let the laundry go and enjoy, it really does go so fast.

From JR and Betty Bird of Gallatin, a beautiful family blossomed...56 people total (including little baby Dawson).

J.R. Bird passed away mid-February 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. I'm so glad that we made this lovely portrait, just one year prior.
With heartfelt sympathy, Jill Steward at the JPEG Studio.

]]>The view from my Grandma's make-up table on her farm near Warrensburg, Missouri. Love old Barn photos. This was before the new paint job was done by my cousin a few years back. Her dad and my great grandpa "Pa", was said to paint everything red. Now when you crest the last hill toward her home on the gravel road that barn is a bright red shade, and I like to think Pa is happy.
