Welcome to the JPEG Studio's Blog.
Hello, I'm Jill Steward, owner and operator of the JPEG Studio. I don't consider myself very fashion forward but I do have to decide "What hat to wear today?" Digital retoucher, salesperson, secretary, photographer, marketer...tax consultant (eek!). I love my job and I hope you enjoy this blog. Feel free to leave comments and share with your friends too.
Thanks for visiting! ~Jill

Hiya! I’m Jill, owner and creator of the JPEG Studio. I specialize in family photography but over the years I’ve had the opportunity to cover many events from weddings to political campaigns and even travel a little too.
I love the old adage, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life!” I’m proud my profession allows me to support the local community with my business taxes and help charities like backpack buddies, 4-H and High School After-Proms. I also support my peer community as a member of the Professional Photographers Association.
Here are a few samples of my work.

Senior Sessions at the JPEG Studio:
The Pre-Consult: Let's plan your session time and go over products and pricing in full detail!
The Shoot: Location or Studio - or both plus your choice of some awesome add-ons like: Add a Sibling, Add a BFF, Add a Videographer, Add a Pet, Add a Stylist, or Add a Meal (The guys love this one).
Unlimited outfits: For most Seniors that means 5-7 outfits. Please bring more than that to give us options, plus any special items you may want to feature in your images.
Unlimited inside/outside backgrounds which usually translates to about 10-12 different settings. I like start in the later-afternoon in the studio then we use about half out time outside to get those setting sun, golden light photos.
The fun part: Design your own custom collection which includes a wall portrait, album, gift prints and wallets. I ask all decision makers to participate!
Thanks for thinking of me for your Senior photos – It’s Senior Season! Hooray!
I've said this a lot, "Scheduling is the hardest part!" After working around school, ball practices, work schedules and vacations - you've finally booked a date that will work for everyone... then Missouri weather strikes! But, not to worry. I love having the option to go inside if that pop-up storm decides to book at the same time as your photo session. And over the years, I've gathered quite a collection of backdrops! I'm always adding and re-arranging, so take a look (FYI: these videos DO play music):
Check out some of my favorite outside locales too!
Hope to see ya soon! ~ Jill
